Importance of having your Oriental Rugs Washed Regularly.

Oriental rugs are made to last a life time. Handmade rugs could easily last two or even three generation.  To prolong the life of your rug it is important to have your rugs washed on a regular basis. Every 2-3 years depending on traffic.  Rugs gradually  get dirty without being noticed and the abrasive dirt particles cut the pile and this causes premature wear.

Before a rug is professionally washed it must be dusted. Dusting a rug, removes the harmful particles from deep within the pile. There is no point in washing a rug if it hasn't been dusted. 

If you send your rug out for cleaning and and it comes back dusty, send it back.
